Alex Halberstadt’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, GQ, Salon.com, New York and the Paris Review. His first book, about the rock and roll songwriter Doc Pomus, was named a Best Book of 2007 by the Times of London and an Editor’s Choice by the New York Times Book Review. Currently he’s at work on a book about his Russian family titled Young Heroes of the Soviet Union, forthcoming from Random House. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
